Beate Sonnenberg's stunning portfolio has established her as one of London’s leading still life and accessories photographers. Born in Germany, Beate moved to the UK in 1992 to study photography at Bournemouth College of Art & Design. She then went off travelling and settled for six years in Mexico City where she honed her photography skills and met her future husband, also a photographer. They moved back to London in 2002 and she set up her studio in uber trendy Shoreditch. Beate has shot campaigns for Radley, Harvey Nichols and VW through DDB, O2 through VCCP, Baileys and Dunlop through BBH, Tag Heuer through Winkcreative and Liberty’s direct, amongst others. Her editorial clients include Wallpaper, Vogue, Telegraph, Guardian, GQ and Elle. Recently, she has embraced the moving image and has some beautiful examples on the web site of her short films. Awards include a Clio 2008 Print Gold & Silver and a Cannes Lions 2007 Press Bronze. If not taking photographs and filming, she can be found practicing her other passion, Ashtanga yoga, in the middle of the studio floor! |
